Hi All,

Is there any way that we can replicate queues across two queue managers on two diffrenet boxes without any programming. I mean can we just use the mq scripts to replicate messages on two queues.

Regards
brgmo.

Hi

Is it for DR purpose...

Using Saveqmgr tool you can copy the entire queues and create it on other node which is having same qmgr.

Replicating the messages, please be carefull that the 2 same messages should not go to the target side.

You can think of mounting the file system of First node and second node too

Think of it
Thanks and Regards

Gayathri,it's not for DR. We want the mesage to be replicated to the other qmgr as it comes on the first qmgr. The idea is to have another box take up the control once the first box goes down.

This is called Disaster Recovery or fail over condition

You can think of my options

Brgmo.

You want to achieve this using proper High Availability. This is done by using something like Veritas, HACMP, MSCS, SteelEye, or etc, and shared disk.

You do not want to achieve this using Message Replication.

Unless you have extremely lax business requirements.

If you have extremely lax business requirements, then there's probably no reason you need the other qmgr to take over.
