Hi,
I am a newbie in MQ Client Development.
I am facing the following problem.
Using Websphere MQ 6.0 as the Server one of the machines
I am using Websphere MQ Client on another machine.
Actually I am using the "MQSeries Automation Classes for ActiveX" which is being accessed by my custom Application for communication with the MQ Server.
The PROBLEM:
the following call returns the valid manager ptr
MQAX200::IMQSession200Ptr -> AccessQueueManager
BUT SOMETIME IT FAILS WITHOUT CHANGE IN ANYTHING, with the
ReasonName "MQRC_Q_MGR_NAME_ERROR"
So, I am unable to understand, from where exactly the problem is arising, sometimes it runs fine, immediately after running fine it gives this error.
Thanks in advance.
regards,
kshipra

The MQ ActiveX classes are deprecated.
Use .NET instead. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Actually we got a legacy project already implemented using MQAX, hence we have to make use of it.....
Is some help available for it on the net....specifically for the Problem stated. |

Interestingly, I used to find this with the ActiveX controls. Used to drive me wild so I built a wrapper round the C API and included that.
But as jefflowrey says, you shouldn't be using ActiveX. Even for legacy. Now is the time to freshen your project _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
