Am using MQ 5.3, MQSI 2.1 and R3LINK 1.2 version. Currently we have system running on SAP R3 4.6C. We need to upgrade SAP system to ECC6.0. Can somebody guide me whats needs to be done at MQ side. Does R3Link 1.2 support ECC6.0 ?
Please help. |

Does ECC6 support ALE ?
Is the ALE support of ECC6 any different from the ALE support of SAP R3 4.6C?
We run with SAP ECC 6.0 and MQ-LINK for R3 just fine... though I can't remember which version of MQ-Link...

Thanks Saper.
Upto my knowledge ALE support of ECC 6.0 is not much different from R/3 4.6C. But am not a SAP person, so difficult to say. IBM site says it supports "SAP Web Application Server 6.4". Is this same as whats called ECC6.0 ?

You need to upgrade every single piece of this infrastructure.
MQSI 2.1 is out of support.
MQ v5.3 is almost out of support.
I don't imagine that SAP R3 4.6C is supported, or you wouldn't be upgrading it to ECC 6.0 (whatever that is).
MQLink for R3 is obsolete, as well.
Start from scratch.
With a new, small, single project. Built on WMB v6 and WMQ v6, and SAP ECC 6.0 (whatever that is).
Get it working.
Migrate everything else. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

It may be a few years old but as far as I know it is still supported...
Anyway if needed and with some programing the SAP JCO can be used too to link SAP to MQ.
It will even help you transform the IDOC into an XML document...
