Hello all,

I've been struggling with a weird problem I can´t solve: for some reason I'm not able to create a qmanager anymore. I don't understand what happened that made my MQ act this way as there were no updates or anything.
I've tried uninstalling and installing MQ all over again, but nothing seems to work.
It´s running on XP.
There might be a problem with creating default objects, maybe because there might be problems with qmgrs authorities or something..
I hope some one can help me with my problem. All help is very appreciated.

There's your problem right there - upgrade to v6.0.1 as a minimum. The base version can be a little, well, tempermental!

Actually I´ve had the version in 6.0.2.1 but since I´ve reinstalled MQ for several times I just didn´t bother installing the fix pack for testing. But now it´s again in 6.0.2.1 and the problem just continues..

That's a shame.

I recommend you try the Windoze Event Log and see if this gives you more of a clue about this WinNT error 193 that seems to be the cause rather than (as I suspected) a symptom.

I should have gone with my first instinct on Windoze platforms.

The prob is solved!
The damage was caused by a stupid file named Program in the root of drive C.
MQ or Windows got stuck there.
