My advice is to upgrade asap or make a plan asap...

This site will be off v5.3 by the end of the year. Not sure how they're managing support in the period Sept - Dec; I suspect it involves crossing fingers! 
Seriously, "critical" systems will be off v.5.3 by Q3.
