I think, I asked this question a few weeks before. I had about 800 messages and my developer wants to see the latest ( this is status queues - received confirmation from remote queue manager). Is there any tool? MQexplorer does not allow more than 500 message ( first 500). I can do it in RFHUTIL but I can not ( i do not know) jump into the last message or a parcitular number of messaage.
I know mo71 but not sure how much I can do.
Thank you very much |

Try MQJExplorer, back-up all messages in a file in your local machine.
Otherwise, redirect the browsed message to a file (using command line) and mannually search the message in that file. |

On z/OS, the browse function of the MA10 panels allows this. What platform(s) are you using? _________________ IBM Certified MQSeries Specialist

MQJExplorer hasn't been maintained in many many years.
It's a waste of your time to use. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

In fact at one point, I have installed MO71 but I took it out as I like RFHUTIL better for common thing. I will definitely look this into.
Thank you Peter |

MQExerceser can do this easily. You get the browse list quickly (only gets/displays the first 100 characters or so of each message so its fast even if there are lots of large messages. Scroll to the one you want and click on it to see the full contents. At that point you can also Get or Delete the message from the queue. The functionality for this is part of the free version of MQExerciser.
If you know the message has some specific contents, you can search for that specific message but this might take longer as each message is browsed fully and the contents searched. With this feature, you can also edit the message and have it replaced on the queue. (www.mqexerciser.com) _________________ Dean Keister |
