Hi,
Would you know of any gud jobs where in I would be given an opportunity to do some research work in WBIMB. I am very interested in learning more about this...have the basic skills for this, however, want to go into the depths of it.
May be become like one of the mqseries masters who post answers so promptly here.
Please could you advise....
Thanks a lot

I think IBM would be the place, in their R&D department. It would be future releases though I'd think. Try IBM Hursley in the UK and the IBM labs in Boeblingen in Germany. _________________ Liz Ratcliffe

Hi shania123,
I guess Hursley for MB would be the best place to be, but don't ask how you can get there....I couldn't even figure out how to get an internal transfer
Regards. |

I don't think there are a lot of open jobs at Hursley... And probably a lot of people in line already... And this is not the place to apply for them. It's entirely unaffiliated with IBM!
I guess it depends on what you mean by "research". I think you don't mean what IBM Hursley does... it sounds like you're looking for a job where you can learn how to use the products. And IBM Hursely wouldn't have any need to hire anyone to do that.
And, if you want someone to offer you a job, in general you need to indicate why they should do so. Nobody is going to just say "Here, random person from the internet, here is a good job that pays well." _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

What I mean is, if you want recruiters to offer you jobs, then you need to list your skills. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

I've always suspected this. It's always "seemed" that IBM laboratories operated on a different plane. At least, that's the image that is being portrayed. Like they're a "secret society" of sorts, untouchable by the rest of the world.

I'm really just guessing.
I'd be surprised if job openings at Hursley were handled any differently than any other IBM job openings. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

As what? Web administrator?
Unless Brandon's got an outside opening, in which case I imagine he'd recruit along the normal lines according to CV & skills.
Note: I am not now nor have I ever been affliated with MQSeries.net in any official capacity, any views expressed on the activities or practices which may or may not be performed by those who are so affliated are entirely my own & may or may not have any connection with the activites or practices which more or may not be performed.
The only thing I'm certain of is Brandon is a nice person who deserves the support of all of us to keep the board running. Donate Now! _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
