The heading for this forum lists Qpasa, Tivoli, contact admin, Candle and then tacks on an "etc.". I am aware also of the Netflexity product. Does anybody know what other MQ Monitoring products are available? |

CA has one, I think (still?)
I think most of the monitoring tools out there have some kind of MQ pacakge. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Jeff,
So far I located:
1. Tivoli Omegamon XE for Messaging
2. Netflexity QFLEX
3. contact admin - Contact Admin/WMQ
4. CA Wily Introscope PowerPack for IBM WebSphere MQ Connectors and Messaging System
5. Candle command center.
Do you know of any other monitoring packages that I can check out for MQSeries capabilities?
thanks, |

I am sure that each producer of monitoring software has it's own package.
Think MQSoftware, CA, BMC, Mercury etc...
Ask your current supplier. Check out the functionality you require and compare against the major providers and determine what you want vs what you need. You are then prepared to start looking for what is out there and what it is worth to you....

We have a purchased "solution" that so happens to be on the Capitalware commercial list, HOWEVER, are there any opinions on http://www.hyperic.com/products/index.html?
Thanks. |

Hyperic HQ is open source systems management software, so its easy to evaluate on your own. Its pretty quick to install and try. It covers a lot of technologies - over 65 different ones, including MQ Series (http://www.hyperic.com/products/managed/mqseries-management.htm), out of the box. It also sports an easy to use PDK that extends management and metric collection to most other technologies usually with just a few lines of XML.
Hyperic just released Hyperic HQ 3.1 which is a big new release that adds more alerting management, localization and better UI/contextual help. The HQ Enterprise (paid-for subscription) also introduces reporting with JasperReports. |

Went to the web site in stacey7165's post and noticed this:
IBM WebSphere MQ Supported Versions
MQSeries 5.x
Not exactly up to date in the MQ support levels !!! _________________ "Truth is ... grasping the virtually unconditioned",
