I think the people who run it on z/OS like it more than the people who run it elsewhere - so I think it's more popular with them.

But there are fewer of them.

The best platform to run MQ on is the one that's best for your situation.

I definately like it on z/OS. I've had very little problems as a matter of fact I can't really think of any at the moment (at least major ones).

Aside from that I have do run it on Windows (works ok now) and limited experience w/ AIX. <-Didn't care for that at all..of course I don't like AIX OS so that may have a little bias.

It's cool on z/OS.

I tend to find it more on Unix (AIX & HP) integrating with Windoze.

I suspect this has more to do with the popularity of those 2 flavours of Unix in my normal industry sector than any advantages/disadvantages of MQ on them (on both it's fine)
