It's not mandatory to take the certification, unless your company says it is.
Start by reading everything you can about MQ, including posts here.
Read more than you write. Try everything. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

Thanks for the quick reply Jeff.
Does that mean i have to read through manuals of Websphere MQ
from IBM's site like System Administration,Intercommunication and clustering ?.
If so which platform do i start off with(Windows ,AIX,Linux)?.I have Websphere MQ6 installed on my WindowsXP .Are there any other manuals that i should look for apart from the ones mentioned above ? _________________ Screw the Roses, Send Me the Thorns |

There are two types of MQ docs. One is for distributed platforms , second for zOS.
I can not answer this question because I dont know which platform you are going to use. _________________ Marcin |

You can start from MQ Primer docs to understand general MQ concept.
Then test it on DEV environment.
If you have problems read more specific docs.

If you dont solve it ask here.
And remember. The most important is ... practise. _________________ Marcin |

You learn administration by setting up increasingly complex test environments, working out why they don't work and fixing them!
Exactly like real life, without the developers losing messages in the middle of your architecture
You learn how to set up these environment by folowing the excellent suggestions in earlier posts. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
