z/OS cannot be a client with CAF. CAF enables you to attach to z/OS as a client from elsewhere.
z/OS and iSeries can be clients... using Java

CAF (Client Attachment Feature) enables MQ on z/OS to be a server to an MQ client. |

It should be delivered on your server media...
Talk to your IBM rep...
Enjoy _________________ MQ & Broker admin |

It's only on the media if you've paid for it. The base client is free, the ETC costs like the server. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Yes.
Please read the MQ V6 Clients manual for detailed instructions. |

I have evaluation CD of WebSphere MQ 5.3 and 6.0 for windows. I used the CD to install client. Now I am using the same CD to install ETC but I can't find the ETC even in custom intallation type. Can I download it from somewhere? _________________ Syed Ghulam Dastagir Quadri

Maybe it's my English which is confusing you. The ETC is a separate piece of software which needs to be purchased. It's fairly expensive and is not supplied as part of the evaluation. Nor can it be downloaded from any location I'm aware of. Speak to your IBM rep (or whoever you got the evaluation from) to obtain an evaluation copy of the ETC, if such a thing exists. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
