Some IBM documents listed "increased maximum message Size" as one of the V6 enhancements. But all V6 documents that I have read so far says 100M is the maximum size. I think 100M was already sipported in V5. Can some one help me if there is really enhancement in V6 or it is just "marketing".

Neither, nor....
This has probably more to do with the possibility of using up a lot more logspace...as this will affect the way those big messages are handled.
Max message size on SHARED QUEUES was increased from 63KB to 100MB - to be the same as on private queues.
IIRC this really only affects z/OS coupling facility. Didn't the 63/64 KB limit fall but with a performance penalty using DB2 with 5.3 already?? _________________ MQ & Broker admin
