Hi,

We have migrated our MQseries 5.3 installation onto AIX 5.3 servers alongside MQLink for R/3 1.2.

We are seeing problems with IDOCs >30MB being sent from SAP R/3 into MQSO, the process gets shutdown with the following log entries;

05/23/07 13:23:19 SMQ4175: Outbound IDoc number 0000000010275322 received from SAP.

EXPLANATION: None
ACTION: None.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
05/23/07 13:23:19 SMQ4197: >>> invalid RFC handle <<<

EXPLANATION: The above text details an error that occurred in a SAP R3 Rfc function.
ACTION: None.

Does anyone have any ideas?

We have already set the max message size for the channel, queuemanager, transmit queue to 100Mb, and we are still seeing the error.

Cheers,

Ade

Hi,

We are looking at that possibility separately, but we have not changed anything in SAP, this was a working installation on HP-UX, and we have just migrated MQSeries and MQlink from HP to AIX.

We have not changed SAP at all.......

You need to check what the msg size limit has been set to in MQLink for R3

Have you restarted the Queue manager after the changes ?

Hi Guys,

We have set the message size to 100MB, and yes we have restarted the queue manager after the changes, still not working!

We have an open call with IBM, see if they can fix it!

Any more advise/checks would be good!

Thanks,

Ade

Anyways you should not use MQ as a replacement for ftp on your Idocs. You should create an idoc per transaction and per message. There should be no need for anything that big (100 MB) And stop looking for MQ for the problem as SAP and MQLink clearly specify that the problem is between them (Invalid RFC Handle)

Enjoy
