Hi all,
In your answer you said i have to do"a destructive GET on the original queue, under syncpoint, then do a commit." What exactly you mean by a destructive Get. Is there any method for doing this or do I have to clear the message based on the messageid or something after the message is put to the backout queue?
2) I have some more doubts. Usually when I am getting my messages from the server through the .net application, the message will be lost from the MQ server. Is there any method to hold the message again in the MQ server even after getting it.?( I will make the question more clear...Is there any way to hold the message in the queue even after getting the message? now it is vanishing...)
3)Is there any metrics in MQ server holding the various data like , say x messages are put, y messages in to this Queue are get, z messages are backed out. x1 messages went to dead letter queue ... like that?
4)what is the maximum message size and what is the maximum Queue size?(I am using windows os and .net appln.)
Any help would be appreciated,
Thanks and regards,
Sajayan |

Nobody has a clue what your question is as you have deleted all previous posts - FYI a forum is used to record information that can be searched for later, not a private "please write my program for me" mechanism. |

I'd second that!
I've commented in one of your few surviving posts:

The default behavior for an MQGET is to destroy the message (if MQGET is outside syncpoint) or, at MQCMIT (if MQGET in syncpoint).
Your app can non-destructively browse a message by specifying browse in the MQGMO (get message options). The message will remain in the que |
