If changing the maximum channels for a qmanager, does the change take affect immediately or does the queue manager need to be bounced?

MaxChannels is not used except on zOS.

All parameters in qm.ini are only read during qmgr startup.

I am referring to the max channels/max active channel properties for a queue manager found on the MQ Explorer v6
