Hi,
I just deleted 142 messages from the dead letter queue per coincidence. Is there any chance for recovering them? The dead letter queue was not persistance, but the local queues were.

no...
If the messages were persistent and you had Cressida's ReQuest you could have 'replayed' them... _________________ Michael

For the record, queues only hold default persistence. So you can have persistent messages on a queue with a default of non-persistence. The only time queues have an effect on persistence is that temporary dynamic queues can't hold persistent messages for obvious reasons.
But to underline the previous answer, once messages have been read off that's it without specialist tools. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Yes there was a good chance they were persistant,
the local queues and the remote def queues were persistant.
I am gonna try this Request product, any tips on looking for the messages once I got it?

I repeat my previous comments that queues are not persistent, messages are.

If you don't know what they look like, we are likely to be unable to help...
(Don't you need ReQuest to be running before deletion? Or are you using linear logging? Genuine questions, more familar with the sales documentation than the product....) _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Hi,
Yes I use linear logging, so I am hoping to retreive those messages out of the active logs.
I think I can see them in there, so there must be a way to see which messages were on the dead queue and get them back.
