Hi,

I'm working on WMQ60 on windows 2003 server. 15 Queues are running on 1 Qmanager. suddenly, 2 queues are stopped. I started manually on Admin console. After sometime, again stopped same 2 queues. Please let me know, how to resolve this issue.

thanks.

Queues don't stop - queue managers stop. How do you mean "queues are stopped" - where did it say this, how did you notice and what exactly did you start? Do you mean queues under WAS or similar?

Have you checked the queue manager logs? There's really not enough information in your post for us to offer any realistic advice.

Except to ask if you're patched to the latest level of v6?

i opened the admin console ( WAS v6.1.07) and select the app server.

Application servers > messaging > Message Listener Service > Listener Ports.
Here we have 15 Listner ports (queues). 2 ports are stopped, then i started those two. after sometime , those again stopped.

Ah...as I suspected. Much more like it.

What have the queue manager & WAS logs got to say about the time in question?

And what level of v6 MQ are you using?

Those aren't queues.

Those aren't MQ objects at all. They are WAS objects.

Also, a WAS Listener Port is *not* the same thing as a queue, either.

There are a number of reasons why a WAS Listener Port would stop. Almost all of them would be logged in the WAS log.

Moderators - please move this to the WPS/WAS forum. It's not an MQ question or a Java question.

The main reason for an MDB port to stop like this is a poison message.

What is your handling of poison messages?
