Hi!
Complete newbie at MQ examining the possibiliies to use it for our system integration.
Environment: JDK 1.4.2, WAS 6.0/6.1, WS Portal 5.1, Windows 2003 Server
Plan is to use MQ in conjunction with the WAS 6.1. My question is:
1) Which package are recommended for use with an existing WAS 6.1 installation?
2) What are the high-level differences between MQ v. 6.0, MQ Message Broker 6.0 and MQ Event Broker 6.0?
3) Litterature tips?
I apologize for asking such basic questions, but I haven't been able to find a simple explanation in the avalanche of MQ documentation.
Regards,

You'll find the packages described on the IBM website.
MQ is a transport mechanism offering guaranteed message delivery. The 2 broker products offer message handling mechanisms described on the product pages in better prose than I can manage...
In many ways the choice of package comes down to requirements and budget. You'll almost certainly end up with base MQ for transport, but which broker is a decision you must make yourself.
Possibly with the aid of your friendly IBM sales rep... _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
