Hi,
I have been asked the following question and haven't been able to find an answer yet. This LPAR (MVS1) has WMQ V6 Early Code running on z/OS 1.4, but the queue managers are still at V5.3.1:
Do you know of anything in the early code for WMQ version 6 that fixed a problem in the ASCII to EBCDIC conversion of the CR/LF characters on an MQGET?
The CR/LF characters are converting properly on MVS1 to x’0D25’. We do have an application team however that says the CR/LF characters were previously converted to x’0D0A’ (which is the same as the ASCII) and their application no longer works properly.
It is a long shot, but we were wondering if there was a bug that is now corrected and that this application had been compensating for.

This is more likely a CCSID data conversion issue, and not related to early-code.
What CCSID on the mainframe? What is the other platform? And what CCSID on that platform?
What is your application? XML? Does the application specify in the MD a CCSID different from the default (for that platform)?
