I have MQClient 5.0 on NT without any CSDs installed on it. MQserver is 5.1 with CSD4 on NT. As per request I have to upgrade just the server to 5.2.1 with CSD5.

Will the application work without upgrading the client to 5.2.1 ?

It should work. However, it is NOT supported. If you run into any problems, the first advice you'll get will be to upgrade your clients.

I have had version 2 clients run with v5.x servers so you should be ok
also have v5.1 clients running againist v5.2
