when i am trying to install the mqv6 on solaris I am getting following error please could anybody help me

[root@tuvok 6.0]# pkgadd -d /opt/softlib/apps/ibm/mq/6.0/mqm
pkgadd: ERROR: no packages were found in </opt/softlib/apps/ibm/mq/6.0/mqm>

please download the image (tar file and untar it) in any directory. for eg( /workspace). go to that particular directory and issue the command "pkgadd -d ."


. is to tell the OS to take the executables from the current directory.
make sure that group mqm is created and u logged as "root" user to do these operations.

I have installed the MQV6 successfully but I am not able to see sample programs in /opt/mqm/samp/bin .
I am on solaris9

I didn't find while installing, can I install now. If I want to install where can I find that sample programs

I believe on Solaris there's a specific package that includes the samples. It may be named something with 'SDK' in it.

You should be able to install this individually.
