What is involved in setting up a new system in the system group on the runtime db? Here is what I have found...

1.) Setup a seperate Qmanager for the new system.
2.) Configure Buildtime fdl with a new system for loading in to Runtime.

I know there is more but what are the critical things that need to be done and possible things to watch out for?

Thanks
Rude

Make the QM of the new system an additional QM in the cluster and give the address of the first QM ( repository QM).

You are not saying this explicitly (but you may be implying it)

The new QM needs to be defined in Buildtime too. i.e. in addition to the new system.

The only other gotcha is that after you import the new QM and system into your runtime DB, I believe you are going to have to start and stop your MQWF system.

In a Windows environment the configuration utility does all the heavy lifting, i.e. creating the qmgr, setting up the cluster, etc. I don't know if the same is true using fmczutil.

I had been using fmczutil and it does create me the QM, Cluster and all the necessary stuff. I believe the windows configuration utility only does a subset of what you can do using fmczutil.
