Hi all,
I have this problem on the AIX 5.2.0.0 , where we installed MQ 5.3 with csd 7.We have the number of processors running which are available as follows.
$ lsdev -Cc processor
proc0 Available 00-00 Processor
proc2 Available 00-02 Processor
proc4 Available 00-04 Processor
proc6 Available 00-06 Processor
proc8 Defined 00-08 Processor
While creating the Qmanager we didnot have any problems but when we were trying to start the qmanager we are getting the following error
Purchased processor allowance not set (use setmqcap).
AMQ5615: Default objects cannot be created: CompCode = 0 Reason = 0.
So I have given setmqcap 4
which gave us the folowing eror (even setmqcap 5)
$ setmqcap 4
AMQ8101: WebSphere MQ error (0) has occurred.
$ setmqcap 5
AMQ8101: WebSphere MQ error (0) has occurred.
The FDC gives this

According to Mr Google, your most recent FDC was fixed in CSD12. So if you stop using such an old level of code, you may have more luck. _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

hi Vitor,
ya I have googled that earlier but now we cannot go for CSD 12 or 13.As per the requirement we have to stick to csd7.should reinstall do fix it, as I have seen from previous posts from this very form, if file permissions were not set properly then reinstallation woulkd fix it.So shall we go for it orelse we have any other choice. _________________ Jogi |

ya vitor,
may be that is because our support guys tried creating from a different user which is not a member of the mqm group.But when we tried creating qmanager from mqm itself gave this problem.That is why probe id ZS146000 .
hence im asking bout these file permissions.So awt would you suggest me to do. _________________ Jogi |

Upgrade.
Seriously, if you've gone through the advice associated with the probe ids, changed the file permissions as suggested and you're still getting the problems then it's either upgrade or PMR.
And the likelyhood is that the 1st response to a PMR will be "go from CSD7 to CSD12". _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Check the data in the ZS146000 FFST:

Comment1 :- open: The file access permissions do not allow the
specified ac
Comment2 :- /var/mqm/qmgrs/@SYSTEM/amqcap.inf
|
Probably caused by using the wrong ID in the first place. Either change permissions on the file or delete it. _________________ MQSeries.net helps those who help themselves.. |
