How can I see on which port the queue manager is running? I am a newbee and not sure If I need to create a listner specifying the port explicitly.

The listener was not started and after running the command "start listener", I see that the port 1414 is in use - where the queue manager runs.

Hi

By default it will create 1414 port

you have to change it/update the services file,
