mqsistop command not working on Linux |

Hi,
When i try to stop broker using mqsistop command (as root), it failed with following message.
Unable to open /var/mqsi/registry/LOCK for writing, please check permissions
The file has following permissions:
-rw-rw---- 1 root mqbrkrs 4 Apr 10 17:34 LOCK
please help.

What are the ownership and permissions on directory /var/mqsi/registry/LOCK ?

Generally it is not a good idea to run the command as root, or more basically, not create and configure the components as root user.
Why don't you create a userid for broker components creation and configuration?
What service userid did you use to run the mqsicreatebroker command? _________________ pcelari
