Hi,
I installed MBv5.0 and fixpack 5.But in the toolkit it was not updated, it still showing version 5.0.0.
In pending changes i got the below error:
Common Utilities Translation(5.0.2):Feature requires plug-in"com.ibm.etools.common.frameworks.feature(5.0.2)",or compatible.
Anyone faced the problem earlier?.How can i resolve this.
Thanks in advance,
Vijji. |

Thnaks for ur reply Pathipati
Is there seperate fixpacks for broker and toolkit.i don't think so.When i installed CSD5 i'm able to see the Toolkit Version 5.0.1.5,Integration EventBroker Version5.0.1.5 and Integration MessageBroker version 5.0.1.5 in Add/Remove Programs. But in Toolkit -->help-->About MessageBroker Toolkit for WebSphereStudio-->Version 5.0.0.
And i checked a flow which calls a procedure. It's showing syntax error.

We've done the same - fully uinstall the Webshpere apps (except for Websphere MQ) and installed CSD9 directly (no need for the 'base' install)
Seems to be working, we're configuring as I post this.
Thanks for the reply! |

You always need a base install.
I would not trust what you have done in production. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |

I am not sure Jeff. Offcourse you are much more experienced than us.
I didn't use a base install. Though i admit that we haven't experimented too much after the upgrade from MB V5.0.x to MB V5.0.9 . But simpler message flows are behaving well. The only problem that came up was that the toolkit couldn't find any valid license key to unleash its full features (It was like using TOAD without a license. I mean to say that some features were disabled) . When we enrolled our license key from the command prompt (using the enroll.exe utility), The set up started working with its full features.
Though, i agree that if it was possible to install the Fixpack 9 on top of the base version, we could have avoided the licensing issue.
Will Keep you posted, if my Fixpack set up (skipping the base version) keeps on behaving fine for months.
Thanks

The FixPacks are not licensed for use individually. Among other things, they are freely downloadable, so if they worked as-is, there would be no reason for anyone to buy the product.
It is more than simply astonishing that you are able to get the product to start up at all with only the FP install.
I suspect that someone already did the base install when you weren't looking, or you installed a "fixpack" install that was actually a base install that had been updated to be at the specific FP level you saw.
But I've been wrong many many times before. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
