We've been testing out JText adapter in a windows env, and seems to have it working as we wanted,

puts files into a SEND dir, gets any events with no file ext from a RECV dir.

However in pre prod tests on the AS400, it will put the files ok, but will not get any events, is there something different I need to set beside the CCSID, I am not an AS400 type person.

we are running the 5.6.4 version with 6.0.7 framework, I read a previous post refering to corrupt type files, but we dont even get those so I am not sure if it is the same issue.

any suggestions would be appriciated.

Are you trying to read from an IFS directory on AS\400? Are you getting any errors in the connector log?

JText adapter version 5.6.4 has some issues with reading from AS\400 file systems. IBM should be providing a fixpack for the same soon. Refer to this post -

http://www.mqseries.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=33858

Also, post relevant sections from the log file, where the connector is trying to connect to the AS\400 system and is trying to read from the event directory specified in the MO.

Regards,
VK.

I dont have any errors,
if I look at the trace, it appears normal, just no files to pull back.

Was this issue resolved?

Can you post the relevant section from the log file for one poll cycle? Set
the agent trace level to 5. Also, post the value set for the property EventDir in the MO.

VK.

right link given to interim fix3, kinda works, except remote archiving doesn't work, and the file isn't deleted.
result I keep pulling back the same file,
if anyone has any ideas, almost there.
