Hi ,
we have 5 queueManagers on windows system of MQ5.0, where we want to migrate them to 6.0 with out deleting the QueueManagers, for this i have see some help ,it mentioned as just stop MQ Server and all process that are related to MQ 5 and install MQ6.
i tried in the same way as in help ,installation was success.
after installation all the queuemanagers are visible in the MQ6 explorer
and all the queue managers status are showing as running and command server is also running , but i can see the tree structure like under queuemanger all the queue mangers are visible, but it is not showing the queue's ,channel etc, when i right click on the Queuemanager it is giving option as disconnect, refresh, properties
Queuemanager
--Test_6
----the tree structure is not coming which has to come under this
i started queumanager with -c option
the model Queue's which has to be created after migration i have created like
SYSTEM.MQEXPLORER.REPLY.MODEL
SYSTEM.MQSC.REPLY.QUEUE
in MQ6 Explorer by the icon type it showing as
QueueManager running; But not connected _________________ Narendra CH |

it is not giving any option like connect ,when i make a right click on QueueManager
it is a local QueueManager ,it will give start and stop options if i do a right click on Queuemanager.
now it is giving a option ..stop
it gives stop when a queue Manager is running _________________ Narendra CH |

Thanks scottj2512!!! I got hit with the same thing as he did on a 5.3 -> 6.0 upgrade and was about to open up an ETR with IBM, but was able to find your solution here first and it worked for me too. I guess the fixpack 6.0.2.1 mangles the path or something like that.
You have saved me a ton of work and frustration.
I did a search of IBM's MQ support site, but for some reason I was not able to pick up the link that you posted. grrrr. |
