Does anyone have experience using the Alerts with MQSeries (services) ? I have set up an alert and entered my NT user-id, but when I stop a channel, listener, etc., no message pops-up. This doesn't seem well documented either.
Basically, I would like some sort of automatic notification if/when a channel or listener goes down.
I appreciate the responses.

I am not familiar with the alert mechanism you describe but I am familiar with the idea that on such an event (such as a channel coming down) then an MQSeries event can be raised which will appear as an event message in the named event queue. This queue could have a triggered application associated with it that could retrieve the event and perform an action such as display a message or send an email. |
