Hi All,

Would like to know what is the impact of clearing/deleting an FDC file?
I have MQSeries v5.1 CSD 9 on Compaq Tru64 UNIX server.

As per my understanding we can delete the file.
Would like to confirm this before going ahead.

Is that a really old version, or do you have a numbering system different to the one I'm used to?

FDC files can be safely deleted once you're certain the problem which caused it to be written has been resolved.

We hold them offline for 6 months after date of apparent resolution before final destruction, but that's just us.
