Hi,
We've a outside cluster node connecting to our cluster. I'm thinking to encrypt the cluster channel for security reason. Perhaps make it more complicated, we're using work load management between the outside cluster node and our cluster servers.
1. Is this design going to work ?
2. In handshake phase, who is the outside cluster node going to hand shake with?
3. How to generate and distribute keys in this scenario ?
Thanks.

Well skytorch,
First I will say, yes it might work, but do you realy want to expose your whole cluster ?
Second you are using the cluster-sender/receiver for all cluster qmgrs within the entire cluster, you I think you have to supply a Channel Auto def exit so you can distinguish between inside and outside qmgrs.
Why not configure it as two inter-connected clusters with it's own cluster channels, so you publish the "public" queues maybe something like the one previous discussed here.
Description of such setup can be seen on my site here:
http://d1o112.dk.telia.net/~u149101068/cluster_qma_2.htm
This description now covers a dedicated channel setup.
By the way there are a lot of security enhancements in version 5.3 of MQ.
I'm working on describing a two interconneced cluster setup with dedicated cluster channels for each cluster, which might suit you well.
Just my $0.02 _________________ Regards, Jørgen
