MQ client
I have a query on MQ Client installation on windows independently,
1) Can MQ client be installed independently? Or it requires any supporting software if yes what are they.
2) Can this be purchased independently or it requires server purchase mandatory for this..
Thanks and Regards

1) Client is an independant install.
2) Client is free & can be downloaded from the IBM site (though it is included with the server install media). _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

No, it's free. IBM don't charge or license for it. It doesn't expire & you can install it on as many boxes as your heart desires. Using them all is a question about maximum connections, bandwidth and other technical issues not a licensing one.
The only exceptions to this are the Extended Transactional Client (which you'll need if you're trying to coordinate an XA transaction over a client connection) and the Client Attach Facility (which you'll need if you're trying to client onto a mainframe). _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Specifically it's a Cat 3 support pack (I looked it up ). _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

I've already SAID it's a Cat 3support pack! How much more help to find it do you need??
Assuming the answer is "a lot", it's the MACV support pack. Or MQC6 if you're using version 6. You'll have to find the download link from there yourself. There are limits...... _________________ Honesty is the best policy.
