This is my first time of installing MQ. We are going from v5.3.1 to v6.0 on z/OS. I have read over the changes and the one change I am looking at right now is the removal of the PARM parameter in START CHINIT. Does this mean if I have PARM(MQA2XPRM) I need to remove all of that or do I just remove PARM and make it look like this; START CHINIT MQA2XPRM? Could someone give me some guidence on this?

we use the command

QTS START CHINIT

issue from automation. Where QTS is the subsystem identifier for the qmgr (MQTSMSTR) in this case

The PARM parameter on START CHINIT is now obsolete. A warning message will be issued if this parameter is used, but the command will continue.

At V6, CHIN attributes are now set using CSQOREXX ISPF panels.
