Hi,

Has anyone using WMQTool had success in connecting to WMQV6.0 qmanagers? I have problem connecting to V6.0 Qmanager hosted on the mainframes. I have'nt got any satisfactory response from the authors. So I am wondering if this is a problem with my environment or the tool itself in general.

I am using WMQTool V6.3_01 and when I try to connect to mainframe qmanager I get this error:
"No response from the server for com.ibm.mq.MQQueueManager....... in 1 min. Please try again later."

Please help.

Can you use amqscnx to connect to mainframe from same machine as WMQTool?

Yes. amqscnxc is able to connect to the mainframe qmanager. And mqmon is also able to connect with no issues. As we like WMQTool better, I am looking for some way to make this connection work.... Any idea if this is a known issue with this tool?

Hi,

WMQTool is a commercial product with available support - therefore, contact the author of the product.

The problem is that the WMQTool developer (like most small companies) does not have a mainframe to test and debug with. Try sending Atul a trace and see what he can do.

For those of you interested, WMQTool now can connect to WMQ6.0 qmanager on mainframe. We contacted Atul and he was able to provide us with a fix.
