I want to add certain number of days(variable) to the current date and find out the resultent date. Any functionality available in ESQL ?
The code has to be leap year compliant. Output should also be in date format ( yyyymmdd).
e.g Input date = 20070222 days = 45
Output should be 20070408 ( cause year is 2007 - non-leap year )
20070407 ( cause year is 2008- leap year )

Yes.

You can use the + sign.

ESQL supports Datetime and Interval types.

Just the datetime functions outlined in the ESQL manual.

These allow intervals to be added. Like days.
