It seems problme to uninstall PM4DATA from windows. I deleted the directory, remove registry entry and kill all xmo process but still I can not remore the software. Until i can not remore, i can not install. Also, the directory has been deleted so I can now work and I can not uninstall. Has any one have this situation? Please let me know.

thanks a lot

Exactly what is failing.

If you deleted the directory before running the un-install, then the programs needed to perform the un-install are gone. Why did you do that.

You need to remove the un-installer entry from the Registry.

If you are installing, and it still says the previous version is there, then you didn't remove everything, and you need to find what "remnants" are left. Good luck.

Cheers,

when i could not uninstalled, i contacted metastorm, and a guy suggested as follows

kill xmo processes
delete cq directory
remove commerceQuest entry from registry

According to him, it should work. But it did not. I even rebooted the machine.

Have u had this problem ever? Any idea how i can remove the renmant? It has entry in add/delete program table too.

Any suggestion would be really appreciated

thanks

The steps I got from a metastorm person were
1) stop everything
2) uninstall everything
3) delete cq directory completely
4) delete regedit key for CommerceQuest

I have to give up that machine and installed on another machine. I later on discovered that there was a services running ( not xmo object but a commerceQuest services). I could not kill it and did not go when we reboo the machine.

Anyway, thank you once again.

The problem is that is the server. I am not sure whether they could afford that. But I appreciate your idea.

thanks
