Hello,

I have a Problem with the MQ Explorer. When I start it I get an error message which say that an instance of the Explorer is already running.

The error I have since my workstation was crash after electrical power outage in my office.

My problem is that I don’t find the file or something else which causes this error Message. A reboot of the Workstation didn’t help.

My configuration is a Workstation with a MQ Client Version 5.3 CSD 12. The MQ Explorer I had installed on a virtual Machine where I had installed the MQ Client V 6.0 including the MQ Explorer. After that I copied the Files from the Explorer and the Plugins into one Directory and copied them to the workstation. There the client worked fine until the electrical power outage.

Has anyone an idea what I can do to get the MQ Explorer running again.

Thanks in advanced

Franz-Josef

You need to remove the .lock file from your workspace.

This is the default workspace, likely. C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Application Data\IBM\MQ Explorer\

.lock is in .metadata.

Welcome to Eclipse.

Hi

Check any lock file is present in the following dir, exactly where you installed your eclipse

eg:

C:\Program Files\IBM\Eclipse SDK30\eclipse\configuration\org.eclipse.update

if its there delete it and start it.

Thanks and Regards

Um, yeah, there might be a .lock file there, but I don't think that will cause the error that tophoven is seeing. That's always been the .lock in .metadata to my knowledge.
