I will use telnet to administrate MQ on a Windows 2k plattform. After i have connected via telnet I can stop the QMGR. But when I try to start the QMGR with strmqm the QMGR starts, but the channel initiator can´t start. I always get an error: the process is stopped with return code 20(amq4128)
can anybody help me?? |

MQSeries and Microsoft Terminal Services dont play well together, Also
it is better to use MQSeries Services to start/stop MQSeries, because when you logout it will stop some of the process.
Also when you issue the strmqm if Iam not mistaken it will start the Channel Iniitatior automaticlly, you can only run one copy unless you modify the system.channel.initq _________________ Jeff

Scanner,
We are using cygwin for telnet/ssh login and it's working fine. And Jeff is right, in the simplest case
Code: |
net start "IBM MQSeries" |
is enough, when you have only one queue manager on host, AFTER you have set sub-services in MQServices snap-in.
If you are working on more qmgrs or without GUI, use the amqmdain command.[/list] |
