Question: Can WBIMB version 5 work with WMQ version 6 as the broker and configuration manager queue manager?

If not, I presume we will have to upgrade to WMB version 6 - which I assume comes with WMQ version 6 as the queue manager?

Has anyone upgraded the broker from v5 to v6? Were there any issues involved (eg having to change ESQL)?

Platforms: AIX and Windows.

It should work just fine with no code changes.

You mean the broker upgrade to V6 needs no broker code changes?

But the broker upgrade is required to move to Websphere MQ v6?

No.

Broker v5 should work fine on WMQ v6. Other than the downtime, your broker should not notice that the queue manager has changed versions - if you do a proper WMQ upgrade.

You should upgrade to WMB v6 for a number of reasons - but the version of WMQ isn't one of them.

Excellent, is there any IBM document or webpage that confirms official product support for this combination (MQ V6 and WBIMB v5)?
