Dear all,
I am trying to configure a database access an SQL Server database on a Windows system.
I am running WMB 6 on AIX 5.3. The broker's database is a DB2 on the same machine.
What i want to do is use the database node to access the SQLServer.
After reading A LOT of documentation i have found that i have to configure the ODBC source that is in the file pointed by the ODBCINI AIX environment variable. In this file I can put my new ODBC source and it's conection parameters. But what is missing is user and pass. The thing is i have found nowhere to put them and since the user created to access the database is (obviously) different than the service user for the broker, i haven't found where to configure it.
If anyone can point me to where to configure it i would be very grateful. Also if there is an easier way to access a database (without using WBI Adapters) i am more than happy to listen to any ideas.
Thanx in advance.

In addition to EddieA's answer, be sure that your WMB is at v6.0.0.1 or later since the DataDirect drivers provided by WMB were updated then to include support for SQL Server. _________________ Bill Matthews |
