Hi!

This is my first time to install MQ, im gonna install it on sun solaris 2.6.
I have been searching IBM webpage and it is not easy too find stuff there for a newbie..:/

Can someone please provide me with some links, software and docs "how to install".

You can only install the MQ v5.2, a deprecated, unsupported version on Solaris 6 This version have just been superannuated here and I personally rejoiced in it... An OS upgrade is recommended.

Sorry its not Solaris 6 it is Solaris 2.6 and its older then the oldest, but it is possible?

It's possible, but how can you purchase an install kit of MQ v5.2?

Go ahead and install the latest MQ series.

If you have licenses, and you're a member of Passport advantage, you might be able to download it there.

Otherwise your best bet is to contact your IBM sales rep and see if they can find media for you.

Deleted as obsolete probably. Like the rest of 5.2!

If you have the media on disk, try installing the help files first. It should have the manuals in pdf form. You might find the manual you are looking for there.

Now installed using pkgadd, it was very simple when u figured out how to.
