A channel is started on the MQ side When JMS application connects to MQ?

The article "MQ Manager Stops Responding To JMS Requests" (http://www-1.ibm.com/support/docview.wss?uid=swg21177012)
said When this application connects to MQ a channel is started on the MQ side.


Which channel will be started? how to monitor this if it happens?
