Hello,
( 1) Need advice urgently.
( 2) I have installed Omegamon XE for WMQ on z/OS V1R7 using V370. However, my agents that are installed on my windows servers are still using Candle Monitoring agent V300. It doesn't seem to work.
Can some experts confirm whether V300 agent can communicate with Omegamon XE V370?
If so, what could be my problem?
( 3) Does anyone know what's the latest version for Agent and Candle Mgmt Sever provided by Candle before IBM buy over Candle?
Desperately in need of help & advice.

you may get an answer here, but you should ask ibm. some stuff may also be fund in the prerequisites section of the documentation (required software versions)

( 1) Can anyone tell me what's the latest version for Candle Agent and Server (CMS)? What's the new name for the above products?
( 2) May I have the link too?
( 3) I am confused most likely due to various old & new names?

First , when you say not working, Is the Agent Online or Offline?
MQ monitor was renamed a couple times. Here is a Verison and name history
V300 Candle Command Center for MQSeries
V350 Candle Command Center for MQSeries
V360 OMEGAMON XE for WebSphere MQ Monitoring
V370 IBM Tivoli OMEGAMON XE for WebSphere Business Integration
V610 IBM Tivoli OMEGAMON XE for Messaging
V610 may not be GA yet or it just went GA and the version could change to 600 or 620 when it comes out.
The V300 agent is long off support but I have a V300, V350, V360 and V370 all connecting to a V360 MQ installed at the CMS. I also have a V370 on a test system but it has only V360 and V370 agents connecign to it.
I believe only the V360 and up are supported. |

I would suppose the agent is online.
Can enlighten me what's your meaning of agent online or offline?
So V300 agent can communicate with CMS - V360?
V300 agent cannot communicate with CMS - 370 and above?
How about V300 agent communicating with the new V6.0?
May I also ask experts like u who is reading my query whether the software title "Tivoli Omegamon XE for z/OS &/or Tivoli Omegamon DE for distributed platform" is meant for Windows or AIX or Sun or HP servers?
What's the difference between Omegamon XE and Omegamon DE?
What are the new softwares that I need to order to replace CMS and all agent?
I also understand there is a CNPS - Portal server, my query is do we need it?
Pls kindly advise and share your experience. Appreciate greatly.
