Hi all:
I have installed MQSeries 5.3 beta for windows 2000. During the installation process,
I selected to install Java Message Service component in customized installation option.
After the installation, I found it has intalled all the necessary jars of
JMS implementations in "C:\ibm\WebSphereMQ\Java\lib". They are
com.ibm.mqjms.jar
connector.jar
jndi.jar
jms.jar
jta.jar
fscontext.jar
providerutil.jar
However, when I tried to test the setup of publish/subscribe mode by running the
commands
dspmqbrk -m MY.QUEUE.MANAGER
I got the following error message
'dspmqbrk' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
operable program or batch file.
I also tried the following command:
strmqbrk -m MY.QUEUE.MANAGER
I got the following message
'strmqbrk' is not recognized as an internal or external command,
I did the above steps according to the MQSeries Java programming book instructions.
From the installation\bin directory, I simply cannot find any executable programs
with those names.
Does any one know where are these two commands located in version 5.3? How should I test the jms broker in version 5.3? Thank you very much.

Steve,
The PUB/SUB broker is a product extension to MQSeries and can be downloaded from SupportPac MA0C
http://www-3.ibm.com/software/ts/mqseries/txppacs/ma0c.html.
Currently there is only a download link for MQ5.3 for Win/NT/200 at this url.
Having said that, the interesting thing is the link downloads the 5.2 code so either the link is broker right now or the current pub/sub code works with MQ5.3. I have not yet tried the broker with 5.3. Maybe someone who has can post their experience. |

I just checked the SupportPac and the 5.3 link now downloads a 5.3 executable. |
