Position: Senior, Pre-sales Systems Engineer
Location: Long Island, New York Preferably but not Hard Requirement
Reports to: Director of Field Operations
contact admin is seeking a Senior Pre-Sales System Engineer to support sales efforts for it’s middleware monitoring products.
Required Experience
5 Plus years as an SE for middleware or J2EE environment or consulting experience desirable
Experience in responding to RFP’s and provide ROI information to prospects
Experience in creating and presenting technical presentation to both Technical groups and Upper Management
Training experience desirable
Strong UNIX administration skills a must
Strong J2EE knowledge and background using either IBM WAS or BEA Weblogic tool a must
Strong knowledge of both Java and J2EE internals as it relates to Web applications
Knowledge of other OS platforms beside windows and Unix a plus
Ability to sell products strength and justify it’s value to target audience
Knowledge of MQSeries
HP Openview knowledge desirable
Unix shell scripting desirable
Some Training abilities desirable
Ability to work from home and have remote office presence if not in New York Area
Some DB SQL knowledge desirable
Description
The Pre-sales Systems Engineer is responsible for technical support for the contact admin Sales Team:
-Qualifying, validating and providing Presentations as part of the Sales strategy
-Working with sales team as a technical resource
-Presenting the technical features, and business value of products.
-Installing and configuring product(s) as part of product evaluation
-Knowledge transfer/training as needed as part of pre or post sales requirments
-Responding to prospects RFIs/RFPs request
-Assisting in the resolution of technical problems, and addressing concerns
The Pre-sales Systems Engineer must have strong technical knowledge, presentation skills, as well as understanding the market place. 30% Travel required.
