It really doesn't sound like anything that will wind up being a concern to anyone but the players (IBM & Amazon). This is just another company trying to get into the middleware market and trying to use the court system as a spring board to do it. It's becoming the American way.

From the sounds of the article, this might relate to Websphere Information Integrator (actually a db2 product, not really websphere) . . . one of its editions helps query semi-structured information. very interesting.
