My client is using Microsoft clustering to provide failover for 2 Intel MQSeries servers. The MQSeries will only run on the active server if someone is logged on with the Administrator ID. When we log off the MQSeries service stops. Any clues?

How is MQSeries and the cluster services being started, I was told if MQSeries is brought by issuing strmqm from a command line, that when you logoff it will stop.

Hi,

MQSeries is a Service in NT. So Logging off should'nt stop that Service.

Other way you can start is through MQSeries ->Services , Select the QManager and set it as AutoStart.

Another Way is Control Panel->Services and then select MQservices and make it Autostart (You should have Admin rights for doing this)

Restart the Box now, the Queue managers should be running fine.

Clusters are started automatically by MQSeries automatically and does not need any human intervention

In case of any problem, please write to me at kalyan_kumar_se@yahoo.com

Rgds,
kalyan

Do not make the service auto start, MS Cluster admin software is the only
correct way to have it start. The NT Services should be set to manual !!!!!
