hi all,
could any one thru somelight on SYSTEM.DEF.SVRCONN. i know that this channel will be created as default when a qmanager is created. but i have some problem like "maximum channels have been reached--> so the channnel has been ended abnormally" kindly post in ur answers for the following queries.
1. what is the use of this default channel?
2. when does this channel be used by the application?
3. what's the maximum no of channels it can establish with the client or with its own?
and much more concepts if u could !

1. It's the default client connection channel
2. If you set your application to use a different one, it isn't!
3. That would be the number specified as the maximum channel attribute

If you'd looked in the documentation I refered to in my previous answer, you'd see it's not specified on the channel...  _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

It certainly is. It will also tell you about the ALTER QMGR command, which might be a better route for you to go.
