Hi all, I'm a new member of this board. I have some problem. I used to write a java application using the Java API for MQSeries, there is an MQEnvironment class I can set its properties for connect my application to the remote host. But now I am trying to write a VisualBasic program using MQAX to connect to a remote host, can I do this? How?, MQAX (There is no any MQEnvironment class in MQAX200.dll) |

Without installing any MQ Client, I copied an MQAX200.dll from a server and put it in my development client, linked it to my VB project, I'm doing a right way? |

You must install the MQ client software (not just the DLL). Plus you use either the MQSERVER or MQCHLLIB / MQCHLTAB environment variables to specify connectivity to a queue manager.

Thank you, Roger.
I see, it looks like developing a database application, once I had installed an application, I had to create an ODBC to specify the connection to the database server. |
