Setup is MQ V6: Central hub queue manager with one receiver channel defined. Many remote queue managers connect to this hub queue manager, these remote queue managers all have the same sender channel name.
question: If I need to reset both sides of the channel, will it not cause a problem if I reset the receiver channel on the server? Many queue managers are connected to this one receiver channel?

I remember the QMID is stored somewhere to distinguish the message counts for the different channels, so it should be possible to reset 1 and not touch the other (on the receiver side).
I guess it's up to a little experimenting with the commands before implementing. _________________ Michael

Ought to work. If you check your channel stautus, you should see individual entries for each connected sender channel.
Still work checking in test before you do it in prod though.... _________________ Honesty is the best policy.

Thanks. Now, where do I click on the receiver side to do the reset? _________________ If you do not know the answer or you get the urge to answer with "RTFM" or "Search better in this forum", please refrain from doing so, just move on to the next question. Much appreciated.

Resetting the sender should reset the receiver. _________________ I am *not* the model of the modern major general. |
